Air Fryer Toasted Ravioli – St. Louis Style with Marinara
Air fryer toasted ravioli cooks at 200°C / 400°F for 7–9 minutes when you start with refrigerated ravioli, flipped halfway. Ravioli breaded straight from the freezer take 10–12 minutes.
Toasted ravioli is a St. Louis specialty: filled pasta coated in seasoned breadcrumbs, traditionally deep fried, and served with warm marinara for dipping. The air fryer gets the same crunch from a spray of oil.

Refrigerated or Frozen Ravioli?
- Refrigerated ravioli are the easiest. They are soft enough to bread without any pre-cooking and cook through in 7–9 minutes.
- Frozen ravioli also work. Bread them while still frozen and add 2–3 minutes to the cooking time.
In both cases there is no boiling. Boiled ravioli are too wet and fragile to bread properly.

Breading and Air Frying
Step 1: Make the Egg Wash
Whisk the eggs and milk together in a shallow bowl.
Step 2: Mix the Coating
In a second bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan, oregano, and garlic powder.
Step 3: Coat the Ravioli
Dip each ravioli in the egg wash, let the extra drip off, then press both sides into the crumb mixture.
Step 4: Arrange in the Basket
Place the ravioli in a single layer without overlapping and spray them with oil.
Step 5: Air Fry the Ravioli
Cook at 200°C / 400°F for 7–9 minutes, flipping halfway and spraying the second side.
Step 6: Finish
Sprinkle the air fryer toasted ravioli with Parmesan and parsley while hot.
Step 7: Serve
Serve straight away with warm marinara sauce for dipping.
- If using frozen ravioli, do not thaw them first; bread them straight from the freezer and add 2–3 minutes.
- Spray both sides with oil or the breadcrumbs will look dry and pale.
- The cheese filling gets very hot; let them cool for a minute before biting in.
- Cook in batches so every piece crisps evenly.
